Tasty Qeema Khichdi Recipe
Ingredients
For Qeema:
- 500 gm Mutton Mince
- 2 Tomato Puree
- 1 tbsp Fried Onion
- ½ tbsp Caraway Seeds(Shahi Jeera)
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 6-7 Cloves
- 9-10 Black Peppers
- 4-5 Green Cardamom
- 1½ Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
- ½ tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
- ½ tbsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 6-7 Green Chilies
- 1 cup Oil Or As Per Taste
- Salt To Taste
- Handful Chopped Dill Leaves
For Khichdi:
- 1 cup Rice
- ½ cup Green Split Moong Dal
- 1 tbsp Desi Ghee
- Salt To Taste
Instructions
For Qeema:
- Heat up the oil in a pan and add jeera, all the whole spices and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for 10-12 seconds and then add the minced mutton.
- Mix till it changes color and then add all the masalas.
- Stir and add tomato purée. When it’s all mixed, add the chilies, fried onions and salt.
- Finally add the dill leaves, stir and simmer for 2 more minutes and voila!
For Khichdi:
- Soak the rice and moong dal in water for half an hour. Boil 6 cups of water and add salt
- Strain the khichdi, add in the salt water and cook. When the rice is cooked, strain it, add ghee and make dum for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve with plain yogurt & Enjoy!
