Ingredients
  

 Chicken Marination:

  • 8 piece Chicken  (Leg + Thigh) 
  • ¼ cup Oil 
  • 1 cup Yogurt 
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Flakes
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt 
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder

Matka Chicken:

  • ½ cup Oil 
  • ½ cup Onion (Sliced)
  • 5 Tomato
  • 3 cloves  Garlic 
  • 1 Bay leave
  • 3 Black Cardamom
  • 3 Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 Green Cardamoms
  • 4 Green Chilies
  • Clay Pot (soaked in water for 2 hours)

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl add chicken, oil, yogurt, red chili powder, red chili flakes, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix well. marinate for 15-20 mins.
  • Now take a clay pot and add oil, marinated chicken, onion, tomatoes, garlic cloves, bay leaves, black cardamom, cinnamon stick, green cardamom, green chilies, and cover with lid. Seal the lid with dough.
  • Now place the clay pot on heated coal pieces. Slow cook on preheated coal for 40-45 mins.
  • Now take off lid, dish it out. Your Matka Chicken is ready.
