Ingredients
  

  • 8 gm Butter solidified at room temperature
  • 200 gm Semolina
  • 100 gm Caster sugar
  • 50 gm Desiccated coconut
  • 1 tsp Baking powder heaped
  • 200 gm Cream
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 2 tsp Fresh yogurt heaped
  • Cashew nuts as required

Ingredients For Sugar Syrup:

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Rose water

Instructions
 

METHOD FOR SYRUP:

  • Cook all till you get a thin runny sticky syrup is formed.

METHOD FOR BASBOOSA:

  • In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients and mix slightly with a rubber spatula, stir till smooth, pour into a 30 x 9 inches pan, level chop, make cut marks into cubes
  • Place a cashew nut in middle of each cube, bake on 180 D for 30 mins, take out of oven, pour prepared syrup while hot.
