Tasty Qeema Khichdi Recipe

Ingredients
  

For Qeema:

  • 500 gm Mutton Mince
  • 2 Tomato Puree
  • 1 tbsp Fried Onion
  • ½ tbsp Caraway Seeds(Shahi Jeera)
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 6-7 Cloves
  • 9-10 Black Peppers
  • 4-5 Green Cardamom
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tbsp  Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tbsp  Coriander Powder
  • ½ tbsp  Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp  Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 6-7 Green Chilies
  • 1 cup Oil Or As Per Taste
  • Salt To Taste
  • Handful Chopped Dill Leaves

For Khichdi:

  • 1 cup Rice
  • ½ cup Green Split Moong Dal
  • 1 tbsp  Desi Ghee
  • Salt To Taste

Instructions
 

For Qeema:

  • Heat up the oil in a pan and add jeera, all the whole spices and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for 10-12 seconds and then add the minced mutton. 
  • Mix till it changes color and then add all the masalas.
  • Stir and add tomato purée. When it’s all mixed, add the chilies, fried onions and salt.
  • Finally add the dill leaves, stir and simmer for 2 more minutes and voila!

For Khichdi:

  • Soak the rice and moong dal in water for half an hour. Boil 6 cups of water and add salt
  • Strain the khichdi, add in the salt water and cook. When the rice is cooked, strain it, add ghee and make dum for 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve with plain yogurt & Enjoy!
