Tadke Wali Moong Dal Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • 3-4 Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 Tomato
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt To Taste
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 cup Yellow Lentil (Soaked for 30 mins)
  • 3-4 Green Chilies
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 3-4 Red Button Chilies
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • ½ tsp Red Chili Powder

Instructions
 

  • In a pan, heat oil and add onions, fry them. Add garlic, cumin, curry leaves and fry with onion until brown. Add tomato, turmeric, salt, garam masala and cook until tomatoes are soft.
  • Add moong lentil and fry for 3-4 minutes.• Add green chilies, coriander and 4 cups of water and cook for few more minutes
  • Now cover and cook moong lentil until it becomes soft. Stir moong lentil in between until desired gravy.
  • Dish out moong lentil in a bowl.

To Prepare Tadka:

  • In a frying pan heat ghee/oil and add button chillies, garlic and cumin and then red chilies, fry quickly and add to the bowl of cooked moong lentil.
  • Delicious tadke wali Moong daal is ready to serve.
