In a pan, heat oil and add onions, fry them. Add garlic, cumin, curry leaves and fry with onion until brown. Add tomato, turmeric, salt, garam masala and cook until tomatoes are soft.
Add moong lentil and fry for 3-4 minutes.• Add green chilies, coriander and 4 cups of water and cook for few more minutes
Now cover and cook moong lentil until it becomes soft. Stir moong lentil in between until desired gravy.
Dish out moong lentil in a bowl.
To Prepare Tadka:
In a frying pan heat ghee/oil and add button chillies, garlic and cumin and then red chilies, fry quickly and add to the bowl of cooked moong lentil.
Delicious tadke wali Moong daal is ready to serve.
