Tadke Wali Moong Dal Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Onion
- 1 tbsp Garlic
- 3-4 Curry Leaves
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 Tomato
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt To Taste
- ½ tsp Garam Masala
- 1 cup Yellow Lentil (Soaked for 30 mins)
- 3-4 Green Chilies
- 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 3-4 Red Button Chilies
- 3-4 cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Cumin
- ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
Instructions
- In a pan, heat oil and add onions, fry them. Add garlic, cumin, curry leaves and fry with onion until brown. Add tomato, turmeric, salt, garam masala and cook until tomatoes are soft.
- Add moong lentil and fry for 3-4 minutes.• Add green chilies, coriander and 4 cups of water and cook for few more minutes
- Now cover and cook moong lentil until it becomes soft. Stir moong lentil in between until desired gravy.
- Dish out moong lentil in a bowl.
To Prepare Tadka:
- In a frying pan heat ghee/oil and add button chillies, garlic and cumin and then red chilies, fry quickly and add to the bowl of cooked moong lentil.
- Delicious tadke wali Moong daal is ready to serve.
