Aloo Kay Dahi Baray Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • ½ tsp Crushed Red Chilli
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds (Roasted & Crushed)
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 small Onion
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • ¼ cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2-3 tbsp Fresh Coriander
  • Oil For Frying
  • 400 g Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Chaat Masala Powder
  • ¼ cup Water

For Tarka:

  • 3-4 Oil
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 5-6 Button Red Chillies
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, add potatoes & mash well with the help of masher.
  • Add red chilli powder,garam masala powder,red chilli crushed,cumin seeds,salt,onion,green chillies, breadcrumbs,lemon juice,fresh coriander & mix until well combined.
  • Take small quantity of mixture and make thick kababs of equal size (makes 11-12).
  • In a frying pan, heat cooking oil & fry kababs on medium flame from both sides until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, add yogurt, chaat masala & whisk well.
  • Add water, whisk well & set aside.

For Tarka:

  • In a small frying pan,heat cooking oil,add mustard seeds,button red chillies,curry leaves,cumin seeds & mix well.
  • In a serving dish,add aalo baray,drizzle prepared yogurt mixture,pour tarka & serve!
