Tikka Pulao

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken     (4-8 pcs)
  • 3 tbsp Chili powder      
  • 2 tbsp Cumin Seeds     (Roasted n crushed)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste  
  • 1/2 tsp Salt     
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice           
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt          
  • Orange food color         a pinch
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala   
  • 1/4 cup Oil  

For Pulao:

  • 1/2 kg Rice      pre soak for 20 minutes)
  • 1/2 cup Oil    
  • 2 Onion    Sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Black cumin 
  • 1 tbsp Green chilies       
  • 1 tbsp Mixed whole spice       
  • 1 Bay leaf      
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste    
  • 1 Stock cube    
  • 1 tsp Salt   

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the chicken with all the chicken ingredients.  And leave it to marinate for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours. Cook the chicken in a covered pan until it is cooked through. In the end, place a small lump of coal atop aluminum foil within the pan.  And let the coal’s aroma seep into the chicken and its spices.
  • In a Separate Pot, heat oil, add the onion and fry it till its light golden brown, add all the ingredients for the pulao, and cook till the rice is ready.
  • Add the chicken on top and leave it covered on low heat for 10 – 15 minutes. Mix the rice and chicken and serve with raita.
