Ingredients
  

Boiled Chicken:

  • 2 Chicken (Breast Piece with Bones) 
  • 6 cups Water 
  • 1 tbsp Salt 

Dal Mixture:

  • 1 cup Chana Dal (Split Chickpeas soaked) 
  • 1 cup Masoor Dal (Red Lentil soaked)
  • 5 cups Water 

 Chicken Haleem:

  • ¼ cup Oil 
  • 1 cup Onion (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Chicken (boiled & shredded)
  • 1cup +  1 cup Chicken stock
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt 
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder

Assembling:

  • Dal Mixture
  • Fried onion As Required
  • Ginger  As Required
  • Green Chilies As Required
  • Lemon slices As Required

Instructions
 

  • In a pot, heat water and add chicken, salt, cover, and boil until the chicken is fully done. Turn off flame and reserve the stock for later use
  • In a pot add split chickpeas, red lentil, yellow lentil, wheat oats, barley oats, water and add water. Cover and Boil until dal gets fully tender.
  • Now take off the lid and turn off flame. Blend the mixture well. set aside.
  • In a pot heat oil and add onion and cook until starts to turn brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute. Now add chicken and stock and mix well.
  • Add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, garam masala powder and cook for a minute.
  • Add chicken stock, dal mixture and mix well. cover and cook for 5-8 mins.
  • Your chicken Haleem is ready. Dish it out and garnish it with fried onion, ginger, green chilies, lemon slices and serve.
