
Channay Ki Daal Ka Halwa Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ kg Gram Lentil (soaked for 6 hours)
- ½ kg Sugar
- 1- ½ cup Ghee
- 1 kg Milk
- 4 qty Crushed Cardamom
- 1 tsp Crushed Green Cardamom
- ½ cup Khoya
- 3 tbsp Peeled and slices almonds
- 3 tbsp Pistachios
- 1 pinch Yellow food color
- Silver Paper As required
Instructions
- Boil ½ kg soaked Gram Lentil in 1 kg milk until it is soft and milk has evaporated.
- Now cool it and grind it.
- Heat ½ cup ghee and add 4 crushed green cardamom and fold grinded gram lentil.
- Now fry it properly for 30 minutes until it turns light brown.
- Now add ½ kg sugar and continue cooking.
- When the consistency is thinner, then fry it properly until the oil separates.
- Now add ½ cup Khoya and fry it for 10 to 15 minutes more and take it out in the platter.
- Now sprinkle 3 tbsp peeled and sliced almonds and 3 tbsp pistachios.
- Garnish with silver paper and cut into squares.
