Kafta Chilli Fry Recipe
Ingredients
For Kafta:
- ½ kg Chicken Mince
- 5 tbsp Roasted Gram Flour
- 1½ tbsp Roasted & Grounded Poppy Seeds
- 2 tbsp Roasted & Grounded Cashew Nuts
- 2 tbsp Cream
- 8 Mint Leaves
- ½ cup Coriander Leaves
- 4 Green Chilies
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Onion
- 1 tsp Roasted Cumin
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- ½ tsp Allspice
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Oil
For Fry:
- 1 Onion
- 6 large Green Chilies Cut Lengthwise
- 6 Button Red Chilies
- 15 Curry Leaves
- ½ Capsicum
- 4 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Peanuts Handful
- 1 tbsp Zatar
- 1 tsp Sumac
- ½ tsp Chicken Powder
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder
Instructions
Prepare Kafta:
- Put all the ingredients for Kafta in chopper and chopped till smooth.
- Grease hands, shape into balls, fry prepared kaftas in oil for 2-3 mins, then cool on a tray (you can freeze these also).
Make Kafta Chilli Fry:
- Heat oil in a wok and deep fry onion, red chili and green chilies, once the onions get to a light pink color, add in kaftas and fry them till edges turn crisp and golden.
- Add in curry leaves, capsicum, coriander leaves, drain them all out of the oil into a bowl.
- Sprinkle the spice mix on the fried kaftas and serve as side dish.
