  • 2 cups Gram Flour
  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • 3 tbsp Fresh Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Mint Leaves (Chopped)
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili (crushed)
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • ½ cup Water
  • Ghee For Frying


  • In bowl, add chickpea flour, wheat flour, fresh coriander, mint, onion, oil, green chili, coriander seeds (crushed), red chili crushed, salt, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • Add water, mix and knead well. The consistency should be soft. It helps if you kneed it with a wet hand.
  • Cover and rest dough for 15minutes.
  • Now make medium balls of the dough.
  • Flatten the ball, sprinkle some wheat flour to the dough ball.
  • Roll the balls with the help of rolling pin into a flat round circle.
  • Heat ghee on tawa, put the beasni roti on tawa.
  • First cook one side, apply ghee, turn and cook the other side.
  • Serve besani roti with chatni.
