Lahori Daal
Ingredients
- 1 cup Yellow Lentils
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Crushed garlicĀ
- 1 nos Onion
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juise
- 1 tsp White cumin
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Ground Red Pepper
- 1 cup Fresh Cream
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
Instructions
- Wash the dal and soak it for ten to fifteen minutes, then drain the water and add two cups of clean water and let it boil.
- When it boils, add turmeric, red chillies and salt.
- When the dal comes to boil, add cream to it and take it off the stove.
- Heat cooking oil and butter and fry the minced onion and garlic in it and add it to the dal.
- Add black pepper and lemon juice and keep it on low flame for five to seven minutes.
