
Matka Pir Biryani Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ kg Rice boiled with salt
- ½ kg Mutton
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Whole Spices
- 2 qty Bay Leaves
- 4 qty Whole Red chilies (dried)
- 2 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 ½ tsp Salt
- 1 cup Yogurt
- ¼ tsp Yellow Food Color
- ½ cup Oil
- 2 tbsp Ghee
Instructions
- Heat ½ cup oil, add ginger garlic paste, fry for 3 minutes.
- Add mutton with seasoning, whole spices, bay leaves and button red chilies, fry for 5 minutes.
- Add yogurt, mix and cook for 5 minutes then add 2 cups water, cover and cook till mutton is tender and oil comes on top.
- Now add yogurt mixed with yellow color, cook for another 5 minutes till thick gravy is left, spread the boiled rice over the meat mixture, leave it on dum for 20 minutes.
