  • ½ kg Rice boiled with salt
  • ½ kg Mutton
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Whole Spices 
  • 2 qty Bay Leaves
  • 4 qty Whole Red chilies (dried)
  • 2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 ½ tsp Salt 
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • ¼ tsp Yellow Food Color
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 2 tbsp Ghee


  • Heat ½ cup oil, add ginger garlic paste, fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add mutton with seasoning, whole spices, bay leaves and button red chilies, fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add yogurt, mix and cook for 5 minutes then add 2 cups water, cover and cook till mutton is tender and oil comes on top.
  • Now add yogurt mixed with yellow color, cook for another 5 minutes till thick gravy is left, spread the boiled rice over the meat mixture, leave it on dum for 20 minutes.
