Prawns Sukka Fry Recipe
Ingredients
- 500 gm Prawns/Shrimp
- 2 qty Onions finely chopped
- 1 ½ qty Tomatoes – finely chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Chilli powder
- 1 ½ tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- Few Curry leaves (optional)
- Coriander leaves to garnish
Instructions
- Clean prawns by cutting the head and tail off.
- Remove the outer shell.
- Devein the prawns using a small paring knife.
- Add some turmeric powder to get rid of the smell.
- Wash with clean water twice and keep aside.
- In a kadai heat oil and fry the finely chopped onions till golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute.
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt to it.
- Mix well.
- To the onion-tomato paste add some water(1 cup)
- Let it come to boil.
- Now add the cleaned prawns to it.
- Roast it in high flame with some more oil till dry.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
