Saucy Baked Chicken With Bread Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
- ¼ cup Oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- ½ kg Boneless Chicken
- 2 Green Chilies Chopped
- ½ cup Cream
- 3 tbsp Flour
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 cups Chicken Stock
- 2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ cup Sweet Corn
- 1 Capsicum
- 2 Boiled egg
- ½ cup Mushrooms
For Bread Dumplings:
- 1½ cup Flour
- 1 tsp Yeast
- ½ cup Milk
- 1½ tsp Sugar
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ cup Oil
- 1 Egg Yolk For Brushing
Instructions
For Dumplings:
- Knead all together except egg yolk, soft, leave to rise for 1 hour.
For Chicken:
- Heat butter and oil in a pan, add chicken, green chilies then add salt, crushed red pepper, fry for 2 mins, add vegetables and flour, cook for 1 min.
- Add stock, cream, cook till thick, add lemon juice, remove in a pyrex dish, top the corners with a dough, make a string of dough or make balls and place on corners, cut into pieces with knife, cover and keep aside till double, brush with egg.
- sprinkle with crushed pepper in center, bake for 20 mins on 190 D.
